What makes indoor solar barn lighting possible? The solar panel and light fixture are separate. The panel stays outdoors in direct sun while the connected fixture is installed inside the barn or beneath a protected roof.

No. The 2000LM solar barn light is designed for nighttime use. It remains off and in charging mode while the solar panel detects daylight, then becomes available after dark. To test the connection during installation, temporarily cover the panel so it detects darkness.
The approximate total connection length is 16.4 ft (5 m): about 4.8 m on the solar-panel side plus approximately 0.2 m on the fixture side. Measure the complete routed path around beams, corners and wall openings—not only the straight-line distance—and leave a little slack at both ends.
Not necessarily. One 2000LM linear fixture is intended to provide broad overhead light across a defined area, such as an aisle section, workbench, feed room or storage zone. The number of lights needed depends on the barn dimensions, mounting height, wall color, obstructions and the brightness level you expect. Large barns may need multiple fixtures.
Choose the 2000LM linear light for wide, ceiling-style illumination in barn aisles, shed interiors, workshops and covered shelters. Choose the 1664LM flood light when you need directional coverage aimed at a barn entrance, exterior wall, stall wall or smaller work zone. The 1664LM model also offers 3000K, 4500K and 6500K color temperatures but does not include a motion sensor.
The 2000LM linear fixture is usually the better fit when you want wider, even task lighting across the bench. The 1664LM flood light is useful when the light must be aimed at a smaller repair area, wall or specific piece of equipment.
A standard SolarAluma split-system installation does not connect to household AC wiring. The solar panel connects directly to the fixture, so installation mainly involves mounting the two components, routing and protecting the cable, and joining the supplied connectors. Follow the product instructions and any local building requirements for your property.
Nightly runtime varies with daily sunlight, season, weather, panel placement, selected brightness and operating mode. For predictable evening chores, use the remote timer instead of assuming the light must run until dawn. The 2000LM model provides 3H, 5H and 8H timer choices as well as brightness and operating-mode controls.
Install the panel outdoors where it receives the strongest practical direct sunlight and minimal shade from trees, buildings or rooflines. Do not place the panel under the eave or inside the barn. Secure the cable away from livestock, moving doors, sharp edges and standing water.
