Put the panel in direct sun
Mount the panel where it gets good daytime sunlight, even if the floodlight will be on a shaded wall or inside a barn.
Measure the cable route first
Measure around corners, walls, and eaves before drilling. Keep the route shorter than the 189″ overall reach so the cable has some slack.
Secure the light to a sturdy surface
Use the included bracket and appropriate mounting hardware for the surface. Aim the fixture toward the area you want to light.
Protect the connection
Fully tighten the waterproof connector, avoid pulling on either cable end, and route the cable so water cannot run along it into the building.
